Resumen:
This article presents a picture of the historical development and the present situation of the various forms of Pentecostalism existing in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile. The article also presents a summary of the different theories about some themes: the diversity of the social actors reached by the Pentecostal message, the diversity of theologies, Neo-Pentecostalism, Pentecostalism and politics and Pentecostalism and the media.
