A specific methodology will be investigated as aplausible alternative. Piecemeal social engineering is a methodology that could contribute to the solution of the problemof the empirical basis in economics, that of its objectivity and prediction. For this, it will be necessary to explain asan alternative to the classic Popperian thesis an approach to objectivity from random experiments, to extend theapplicability of random experimentation as more objective forms of obtaining evidence on which to base decisions,to delve into an approach to objectivity through the evidence obtained thanks to the use of random experimentation,establish how theories arise and how experimentation is more prudent than the image of predictive economic science.Finally, it will be necessary to broaden the discussion in terms of the relationship between the choice of policies and thetheoretical-scientific apparatuses that underlie them.
