Resumen:
The presence of Chondracanthus genypteri attached to the branchial arches of Genypterus blacodes of Patagonian waters of Argentina is reported. Over a total of 30 cod fishes examined, 40% of them were found parasitized, with an average intensity of 5.17 parasites per host. With the present contribution it is made known a broader distribution for Chondracanthus genypteri.
