Biomédico - Or Fisiología, Fac. de Medicina – UNT – CONICET – Tucumán Introduction and Aim. The effects of obesity on endothelial function (EF) in adolescents are not well studied. Objectives: To determine the influence of obesity on EF in adolescents without associated risk factors (RF). Materials and Method. Population: Two groups of adolescents (n =15, age 14.46 ±2.1) according to presence (obese group: GO) or absence (normal group: GN) of weight and circumference waist >95th percentile. EF was assessed by reactive hyperemia (RH) using plethysmograph noninvasive method, which measured arterial pulse wave before (PreHR) and after suprasystolic occlusion (PosHR). We also evaluated % fat mass (FM%). Results. Both GN and GO showed EF (GN: PreHR: 1.42 ± 0.1vsPosHR: 1.81 ± 0.2, n = 6 p
