Resumen:
In this study we examine a regional climatechange scenario carried out with the Rossby Centreregional atmospheric model, RCA3 (Kjellström et al.,2005). The Max Planck Institute coupled atmosphere -ocean general circulation model ECHAM5/MPI-OM(Jungclaus et al., 2006) is used to initialize and driveRCA3 for present and future climate. A continental scaledomain is nested in the global model ECHAM5/MPI-OM and,for validation of the system performance, RCA3-Eis also nested in ERA-40 reanalysis for the period 1980-99. We assess the response both in terms of seasonalmeans and in terms of changes in distributions of dailytemperature and precipitation.
