Resumen:
A rigorous simulator/optimizer has been developed for design and optimization of natura! gas prol.:essing plants. The simulator embeds different turboexpansion technologies which are represented by binary variables. The simulator/optimizer has been used to obtain both the optimal design and its associated operating conditions. Optimal schemes for processing gases with increasing carbon dioxide content can be readily obtainedby binary variables.
