Resumen:
The International Union of Pure and Applied Physics is the only international scientific union devoted to all areas of physics. Organized and run by physicists from all over the world it has the mission of assisting in the worldwide development of physics, fostering international cooperation in physics and helping in the application of physics toward solving problems of concern to humanity. In this talk Silvina will provide an overview of IUPAP´s structure and give an account of its main actions to increase diversity and inclusion in physics. In particular, she will cover physics education, physics for sustainable development and some aspects of gender inclusion. Lilia will give a brief account of the main actions of IUPAP´s Working Group on Women in Physics (WG5) with a focus on the International Conferences on Women in Physics.
