Resumen:
A canonical piece-wise-linear filter (CPWL) realization isproposed as part of the scheme for non linear time - domainequalization (TEQ) aiming impulsive noise interference reductionin xDSL transmission systems. The resulting structureis discussed in the context of a VDSL system usingReed-Solomon (RS) coding and interleaver to prevent impulsivenoise effects. Also, a recently introduced impulsivenoise model is used in order to evaluate the new methodology.The results are compared evaluating the performanceof the new structure with different impulsive noise sampleand different interleavers deep. The delay , for a free errorsystem, in the new design and the linear design are comparedto show the improvement obtained using the CPWLstructure.
