Resumen:
The PMN respiratory burst mediated by the enzyme NADPH-oxidase can be activated by different non-particulated stimulants, including galectins (Yamaoka et al., J. Immunol. 154:3479, 1995). In the present work, we studied the action of galectin-1 on NADPH-oxidase activity from porcine PMN.
