RESUMEN. En la presente revisión se brinda información sobre lectinas de plantas
celulares y vasculares. En particular se discute la defmición de lectinas, su estructura,
especificidad sacarídica, localización y funciones biológicas.
SUMMARY. "Lectins. 1. Vascular and Cellular Plants." This review provides information
about lectins from cellular and vascular plants. The definition of lectins is particularly discussed,
as well as their saccharidic specificity, location, and biologic functions.
