The work aims to evaluate the depth and to determine the carbonation coefficients for concrete with the addition of RHA ground in ball mills and natural (unground) replacing cement in amounts of 15 % and 25 % (values in mass). Afterwards, they were compared with ordinary concrete without mineral addition with three water/material cimenticious ratios 0.45, 0.55 and 0.65. After the preconditioning (RILEM TC 116 – PCD) the accelerated test times were 03, 06, 09 and 12 weeks in a sealed chamber with 5% of CO2, 75% of R.H.The preliminary results show that the carbonation depth of the specimens with the addition of ground RHA presents higher values than those of the ordinary concrete. Furthermore, the mixtures with natural unground RHA present depths higher than ordinary concrete and concrete with ground RHA.
