Resumen:
The environmental conditions, and especially ambient temperature, significantly influence the fresh behavior of Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) and, consequently, the material characteristics during production. Along these lines, the present work evaluates the effect of the temperature on the fresh properties of mortars from SCC, considering a wide range of temperatures (10-40ºC). The mortars used were prepared according to the material proportions of SCCs. Rheological parameters, as well as engineering-type tests, were evaluated along time considering different waiting conditions (stationary and continuous stirring). Results show significant influence of temperature on the rheological parameters, especially on plastic viscosity, concluding that its influence has to be considered during production.
