The incidence of political factors in Argentine Psychology

This presentation take into account four differentmoments in Argentine Psychology and their relations with political factors. First of all, at the beginning of the century, whenan experimental and clinical Psychology was developed, in relation to theproblems with inmigrants in the country.In a second moment, around the middle of thecentury, when the changes introduced by the Peronism, made possible theemergence of psychotechniques and professional guidance in psychology's field.Then, in the '60 and '70, when,in the context ofpolitical contradictions, appeared in the whole country a new professional rol,that of the psychologist, sometimes in opposition, some times in superpositionto that of the psychoanalist.Finally, in the last years, when the democraticrecovery made possible the definitive legalization of the psychologyproffesion.
