Conferencia "The Publishing House Kapelusz and the development of applied Psychology in Argentina around 1950"

First, the presentation will analyzes the context in which applied psychology was developed in Argentina in the mid-Twentieth century. At the same time it will be anylyzed the main programs within psychology field, organized in three cities along the country: San Miguel de Tucuman, Rosario and San Luis.Next, it will be pointed out the main characteristics of Psychotechnics and Professional Guidance in Argentina, as well as its theoretical foundations. In such a way it will be pointed out some applications both at laboral and educational settings along the whole country.Finally, we analyze books dedicated to applied psychology edited by Publishing House Kapelusz.Such editions included, on the one hand, the Spanish translation of books by Henri Piéron, Paul Fraisse, René Zazzo, Féllicien Challaye, Georges Poyer, Ferriere, Suzanne Pacaud, Ervin and Mary Detjen, among others.Mainly it will be anlyzed the Spanish edition of Handbook of Applied Psychology (Traité de Psychologie Applique). On the other hand, original books in Spanish by Mira y Lopez, Bela Szekely, Alfredo Calcagno, Senet and Carlos Rodolfo Viedma, among others.
