Resumen:
There are argentinian records for three species of Thaumastocoridae.Keys to the known genera of Thaumastocoridae were given by Drake and J. Slater (1957, 353?370) in their revision of the family. Later, J. Slater and Drake (1958) discussed the group?s relationships to the other families of Hemiptera, and J. Slater and Brailovsky (1983b) returned the Xylastodoridae to subfamily status in the Thaumastocoridae. Schuh and Slater (1995, 167) keyed the two subfamilies.
