Resumen:
The type material of the Cimicomorpha (except Reduviidae and Miridae) (Heteroptera) deposited in the Scientific Department of Entomology of the Museo de La Plata is listed. It includes two types of Cimicidae, six types of Polyecnidae, 17 types belong to 20 species. They were contributed by the following authors: Berg (Tingitidae and Nabidae), Del Ponte (Polytecnidae), Drake (Tingitidae), Drake and Hambleton (Tingitidae), Drake Poor (Tingitidae), Kormilev (Joppeicidae), Monte (Tingitidae), Ronderos (Polytecnidae), and Wygodzinsky (Cimicidae). The status of holotype and paratype or typus is given as it is known or indicated in the description (no new designation are made). For each taxon complete information about original and valid names, publication, subsequent combination, collection data and condition is given.
