Resumen:
Results of
study to clarify the usefullness of female terminalia as diagnostic characters
in Rasahus are presented. The
gonapophyses (VIII_IX), gonocoxites (VIII-IX) and tergites (IX-X) of all 19
hitherto describede species of Rasahus
have been compared an are described. The chaetotaxy of gonocoxite VIII-IX, the
morphology of gonocoxite IX and the tergites IX, the sclerotization of
gonocoxite IX and the intersegmental line between tergites IX-X, as well as the
pigmentation of tergites IX and X were found to contain diagnostic character
states and within the Peiratinae are reported as such for the first time. The
diagnostic characters in the female terminalia are useful in separating two
recently recognized species groups in Rasahus.
