Resumen:
The 46 types of Leptopodomorpha and 52 types of Nepomorpha (Heteroptera) deposited in Scientific Department of Entomology of the Museo de La Plata were listed. These types belong to 21 species and 4 subspecies distributed in the families: Saldidae (5), Belostomatidae (3), Nepidae (1), Corixidae (8), Naucoridae (3), Notonectidae (3), and Plediae (2). They were contributed by the following authors: Bachmann (9), Berg (8), De Carlo (2), Drake and Chapman (1), Drake and Hottes (3), Schnack (1), Torres (1). The status of holotype or paratype is given as it is known or indicated in the descriptions and the current valid names are given.
