Abstract. In this study, displacements are evaluated in order to obtain a percentage of damage for each wind velocity, and the quasi-static behavior of Argentinean Eucalyptus grandis wood poles with uncertain material properties is analyzed, giving place to the fragility curves. The deterministic wind load model presented in the Argentinean standard CIRSOC 102 is employed. The lengthwise variability of the modulus of Elasticity is simulated through three probabilistic material models: as a random variable, as a random eld through the Non Gaussian Karhunen-Loeve Expansion and as the weak zone model taking into account the knots presence. Results are numerically approximated by the Finite Element Method. After a validation with experimental results, fragility curves for the probabiliscic material models are obtained and compared to assess the uncertainty of the material properties in the structural response.
