Resumen:
Serum PTH is the main regulator of bone turnover in patients with end-stage –renaldisease (ESRD) and it plays an important role in the pathogenesis of renal osteodystrophy(ROD). Renal transplantation (RT) is the effective therapy for ESRD. Howeverosteoporosis posttransplantation is common in these patients. Serum PTH frequentlyremains elevated immediately after RT and may never completely normalize in somepatients.
