This article presents the implementation of a bidirectional three-port DC-DC converter for hybrid electric systemapplications. The objective of this converter is to control the power flow with high efficiency. Initially, the converter topologyand its operation principle are described, then the implementation of a 3.55 kW experimental prototype describing its powerstage and control stage is presented. Finally, experimental results for different cases of power transferences and differentsets of auxiliary inductances are presented. These results validate the model of the converter. The maximum efficiencymeasured experimentally is of 96.07 %. © 2018 Argentine Association of Automatic Control.
