Resumen:
The transition from breastfeeding to mixed diet affects the growth of the individual, doubly in the case of low body weight at weaning. Many studies propose dependence on the development of the quality and quantity of dietary fat. So far the nutritional recovery was related to the dietary protein contribution. However, there are evidences of the lipid source and n-6/n-3 PUFA ratio significances, in growth and body composition. OBJECTIVE: to study by anthropometric evaluation and body composition, the influence of the amount of dietary fat able to recover individuals from low body weight. POPULATION & METHODS: At weaning female Wistar rats (n=72) were grouped according to BW (aged = 21 day) as follows: 1) control C (n=24) >33.5 g BW and 2) experimental E (n=48)
