Resumen:
The hydrogen electrode reaction (HER) was studied on platinum electrodes with different surface coverage of adsorbed bismuth. It was demonstrated that, independently of the degree of inhibition of the sites occupied by the adsorbed hydrogen Had (UPD) on the part of the Biad atoms, the reversible hydrogen potential is established and the equilibrium polarisation resistance is invariant. The experimental results were interpreted on terms of a kinetic model based on the dependences of the specific kinetic constants and the hydrogen equilibrium surface coverage on the standard Gibbs free energy of Had on OPD sites.
