Resumen:
The Argentine Precordillera consists of a thick lower Paleozoic sedimentary succession. These rocks reflect two different environments: a continental shelf toward the east, and a clastic basin toward the west. The purpose of this paper is to identify events in the Argentine Precordillera, some of which are due to changes in relative sea level. These events can be correlated to world-wide eustatic events, especially during the Arenig, Early Llanvirn, Lower Caradoc and Upper Ashgill.
