Resumen:
The stucligd species of Bticciitaitops exhibit a peculiar nray of protectiou of itsprole. The egg-capsules are attached to the callous region of the parent shell.The egg-capsules and embryos reedy to hatch are described for B. globosuw~,B. defovnais and B. dtcartei. Egg capsules of B, gvadalunt are described. Nurseeggs a r e recorded for a11 the species, in a l~u~rtboefr 1.300 to 2.500. There isno pelagic larval life, the yonugs hatch in the crawliug stage
