Resumen:
The technique of flash vacuum pyrolysis (fvp) has found widespread use in several applications ranging from mechanistic studies to preparative organic chemistry. This methodology involves vacuum sublimation or distillation of a substrate through a tube which is inside a tubular furnace  (350-1000ºC) to induce chemical transformations. After passing through the tube, products are condensed at low temperatures (- 200ºC) in a trap placed at the exit of the reactor. The chemistry of heterocycles containing selenium in their structure has been widely developed in the last years;however the gas-phase thermal behavior of these compounds has been scarcely studied. A few examples of thermolysis of 1,2,3-selenadiazoles giving selenoketenes by nitrogen extrusion reaction have been reported.
