In this work, we report the syntheses and characterization by spectroscopic and electrochemical techniques of new dinuclear asymmetric ruthenium complexes of formula [(tpm)(bpy)RuII(L)RuII/III(NH3)5]n+(n = 4,5) , with tpm = tris(1-pyrazolyl)methane, in order to establish the degree of influence of ligand electronic properties and geometry when going from a trpy to tpm coordination.
