We recently dealt with the best polynomial approximationoperator in an Orlicz Space L and its extension to Lφ, where φ is thederivative of the function .In this paper, we study weak and strong type inequalities for maximaloperators related to the extended best polynomial approximation op-erator from L to Lφ. Then, applying these results, we obtain normconvergence of the coefficients of the extended best polynomial approx-imation operator.
