FERNANDA BUZZOLA SOBRE LAS SIGUIENTES CONCLUSIONES:SAL enhances biofilm formation in a strain-independent way, for all the S. aureus strains studied in this work (animal and human origin).The Fe2+ chelating ability of SAL, partially mediates the increase in biofilm formation by S. aureus.The SAL-induced increase in biofilm formation by S. aureus is mediated by both ica-dependent and independent mechanisms, the latter involving mainly protein production.
