Hyperfine interactions in Sr(1-x)Ca(x)HfO3

The temperature dependence of the hyperfine parameters in the perovskite-type compound SrxCa1-xHfO3 powder samples have been investigated for the first time by means of Perturbed Angular Correlation spectroscopy using 181Ta hyperfine probes. The probes were produced putting the pure samples in a thermal neutron flux during a short time to obtain a ppm probe concentration.The measurements have been performed as a function of temperature in the range from 293 K to 1275 K. The hyperfine interactions have been established, showing static quadrupolar interaction. The principal components of the Electric Field Gradient tensor are presented and analized as a function of temperature. *Supported by CONICET.
