Resumen:
Throughout the prehispanic past, the High Andean Lake Region was an inter-nodal space intensively traversed and visited by people from the Atacama desert, Lipez, and the northern Puna of Argentina. Focusing on zooarchaeological remains recovered from sites of different ages (Archaic, Formative, Late) and function (transitory, temporary), this paper explores some of the activities that were carried out there and the way in which these practices contributed to the constitution of the cultural landscape and the  identity of Circumpuna people.
