Resumen:
Waste water containing pesticides released to water courses without treatment produce ecological damage and the concern of the population and authorities. In this work we propose a couple solar Fenton-Biological process for the treatment of water containing the fungicide Imazalil and organic coadjutants. Water solutions containing up to 500 mg/L Imazalil were partially oxidized by solar Fenton process. The resultant solution was biodegraded using consorptium adapted to Imazalil (isolated from decanter sludge) without the incorporation of any extra carbon source. TOC and COD was reduced to acceptable values for descharging in sewages. These results exemplified the advantage of the combination of advanced oxidation with biological process for recalcitrant compounds degradation
