Resumen:
The development of captopril in 1975 was one of the first examples of rational drug design. Its availability induced a profound social impact constituting an effective treatment for hypertension. The distinguish Argentinean research Miguel A. Ondetti, educated at Universidad de Buenos Aires, together with David W. Cushman, led the research team that accomplished this work.
