Resumen:
GLUT4 is an insulin-dependent glucose transporter. FSH and LH stimulate glycolysis in porcine cumulus-oocyte complexes (COCs). We evaluated the influence of gonadotropins and insulin on glucose uptake in porcine COCs during in vitro maturation (IVM). COCs were obtained from ovarian follicles of slaughtered gilts and cultured 44 h in medium 199. In vitro fertilization (IVF) was performed in mTBM. Glucose concentration in IVM medium was determined by spectrophotometry and GLUT4 presence was determined by immunocytochemistry.
