Resumen:
Some 2-thioimidazolidine-4-one and their 2,4-dione analogs were synthesized using microwave irradiation. All compounds were subjected to Flash Vacuum Pyrolysis, determining that thio compounds present lower thermal stability than dioxo analogs. Dehydrogenation and dehydrochlorination were common reaction pathways. DFT calculations allowed further exploration of the mechanisms of these reactions.
