Resumen:
In order to develop new Light Responsive Nanomaterials, chemical modification of nanoparticles and modified silanized substrates by varied biomolecules and synthetic biocompatible molecules were proposed for targeted applications. Thus, in this presentation, the different chemical conjugation reactions on spherical gold Nanoparticles were shown and later, possible interactions with bacteria and cyanobacteria were illustrated. When discussing these interactions between nanoparticles and biostructures of different natures, it is believed that the conjugation of the firsts as well as their final size and morphology, play a vital role in the type of interaction and concluding results. In this regard, the nanoparticles could be collectively aggregated and displayed over the surface following electrochemical forces, or wrapped and internalized within the membrane bilayer when they are modified with liposoluble molecules. Alternatively, slightly larger nanoparticles could be partially wrapped singularly, or completely absorbed. In this context, the conjugation of supramolecular macrocycles was presented for i) Enhanced targeted laser dyes based on Metal Enhanced Fluorescence. [1]; and ii) non-covalent bioconjugation with bacteria and unicellular organisms for biodetection by nano-bioimaging. [2]. Finally, potential uses for label free devices applications were discussed.References[1] Synthesis of Ultraluminiscent gold core-shell Nanoparticles as NanoImaging Platforms for Biosensing applications based on Metal enhanced fluorescence, M.
