Resumen:
A simple model to study the effect of on top coadsorption of anions in underpotential deposition isformulated. It considers a lattice-gas model with pair potential interactions between nearestneighbors. As test system, the electrodeposition of silver on gold is studied by means of grandcanonical Monte Carlo simulations. The influence of anions on the adsorption isotherms is analyzed.It is found that as the interaction between silver atoms and anions increases, the monolayer adsorbsat more negative chemical potentials. For large interactions between silver atoms and anions, aexpanded structure occurs for the silver monolayer
