Resumen:
We applied a modelling tool for linking molecular architecture of lowdensity polyethylene produced in high-pressure tubular reactors to linear viscoelastic behavior. The modeling approach applies a rheological model based on the reptation theory to connect molecular structure, in terms of molecular weight distribution, to the shear viscosity flow curve. The model is validated against experimental data of low-density polyethylene produced in an industrial reactor.
