Resumen:
Precise knowledge of phase behavior of natural gases+alkanolamines aqueous solutions is of interest to design and optimize amine absorption units. In this work we extend a group contribution with association equation of state to the modeling of phase behavior of mixtures containing water, alkanolamine and light hydrocarbons (HC). The model parameters were estimated on the basis of binary VLE and LLE experimental data for HC+amines, HC+alcohol, water+amine, water+alcohol. The group contribution approach allows the use of an extended databank of experimental data which gives a solid foundation for predicting hydrocarbon solubility in alkanolamines aqueous solutions.
