Resumen:
In this work we propose a path-following method for tracking entire solid-fluid equilibrium (SFE) curves for binary asymmetric mixtures.  The types of curves we consider are isopleths, isotherms and isobars. The generation of isopleths for the chosen model, makes possible to directly compare models for SFE with raw experimental data, which, for asymmetric systems, are typically obtained at constant composition. Our case study in this work is the highly asymmetric system methane-n-triacontane, for which experimental data are available over a wide range of conditions [1]. Besides a technique for generating entire SFE lines, we discuss here a strategy for avoiding the simultaneous correlation of fluid-fluid and solid-fluid experimental data.
