Resumen:
The implementation of a mathematical model for a reactive distillation
column as a package that was incorporated in a decision support system (DSS) is
presented. With the help of this package, the engineer is able to make an assisted
design of the instrumentation and obtain the set of the equations that represents the
equipment model accurately, thus facilitating the simulation. This software was
developed taking into account a commercial simulation package called GAMS®. In
this paper we report a parser implementation that links the DSS equations and
GAMS®, minimizing in this way the human errors and reducing the time needed for
the user in order to complete the simulation process
