Resumen:
Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 production environments integrate the physical and the decision-making aspects of manufacturing processes, supporting their decentralization and autonomy. One of the main features for these systems is production planning, in particular the computation of optimal schedules of operations on machines. In this article, we present the proposal for a design of a scheduling system, based on data-driven procedures, intended for Smart Manufacturing environments. The implementation of such system yields a Cyber-Physical Production System, which overcomes the limitations of more traditional settings. A data-driven decision-making engine uses, in particular, Big Data techniques to extract vital information for a smooth functioning of Industry 4.0 organizations.
