Resumen:
Since a recent past, music, bioengineering and neuroscience converge into common areas of scientific/technologic interest. In neurosciences, music influence on neurophysiological learning mechanisms has been studied. This investigations show that throughout a learning process, for example, handling a musical instrument, entails the optimization of functional motor effectors control. In other words, a perfect intermuscular synergy is accomplished when playing a musical instrument. Bioengineering, by utilizing these observations, uses this synergy to control prosthesis, orthosis or other mean of actuation and/or communication with the user environment. In the past few years, special interest has been given to establishing metrics that allow ?measuring? the motor control state of a person affected by any neurodegenerative disease. In this context, this work pretends to utilize technological and computational tools to determine and quantify intermuscular synergy during the utilization of a musical instrument, that posteriorly could be used in the generation of melodies and/or musical sounds through the same motor gestures. Even though the proposed objective is addressed to healthy subjects, with certain musical skills, it is intended to future, for these tools to be used to ?measure? learning level and control developed during this process.
