The behavior as corrosion inhibitors of two S,N-bicyclical compounds:3a,6a-diphenyltetrahydro-1H-imidazo [4,5-c] [1,2,5] thiadiazole-5 (3H)-thione2,2-dioxide and 4-ethyl-3a,6a-diphenyltetrahydro-1H-imidazo [4,5-c] [1,2,5]thiadiazole-5 (3H)-thione 2,2-dioxide, was studied for SAE 1010 steel in 0,5 M H2SO4at 30 °C. The research was carried out using different techniques (gravimetric,electrochemical and spectroscopic). Both compounds reduce the corrosion rateeven at very low concentrations. Inhibition efficiency (IE) increases withincreasing concentration of compounds. The IE is 92-94% for the maximuminhibitor concentration studied (120 µM). Both compounds act as mixed corrosioninhibitors, affecting anodic and cathodic reactions of the corrosion process
