Resumen:
Gold surface supported lipid membranes are promising structures for fundamental studies and biotechnological applications.(1-3) In this contribution, we show the structure and electrochemical properties of Au(111) surface modified with dithiothreitol (DTT), in order to elucidate the possible configurations of this molecule in the monolayer. XPS and electrochemical measurements performed at room temperature suggest a predominance of the DTT up-right position for an incubation temperature of 60oC. STM images show a flat surface with a disorder layer on it. The dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) membranes immobilized on top of the DTT treated Au surface were characterized by AFM measurements.(1-3) In this contribution, we show the structure and electrochemical properties of Au(111) surface modified with dithiothreitol (DTT), in order to elucidate the possible configurations of this molecule in the monolayer.
