Abstract
The study of pseudohalogen-containing compounds
has been of interest to nonmetal chemists and theoretical
chemists for many years, not only owing to their
potential use in various chemical areas and experimental
difficulties in their preparation and characterization,
but also due to the better understanding of the concept
of pseudohalides and the similarities in their structures
and properties. The pseudohalide concept was presented
in 1925 and from that times its introduction there have
been a series of outstanding advances have been made
