Abstract The study of pseudohalogen-containing compounds has been of interest to nonmetal chemists and theoretical chemists for many years, not only owing to their potential use in various chemical areas and experimental difficulties in their preparation and characterization, but also due to the better understanding of the concept of pseudohalides and the similarities in their structures and properties.
