Resumen:
The aims of this chapter were to provide a general description of the main developmental characteristics of grain crops, including how these characteristics might be linked to yield generation, to describe the major developmental responses to main environmental factors, and the genetic factors that are responsible of these responses. Understanding these elements is important to identify opportunities for improving adaptation, and yield potential.
