Resumen:
Crop development is a sequence of phenologicalevents controlled by the genetic backgroundand influenced by external factors, which determineschanges in the morphology and/orfunction of organs (Landsberg, 1977). Althoughdevelopment is a continuous process, the ontogenyof a crop is frequently divided into discreteperiods, for instance ?vegetative?, ?reproductive?and ?grain-filling? phases (Slafer, 2012).
