Resumen:
Diabetic foot ulceration represents a major medical, social and economic problem around the world. About 1 in 10 of all ulcers result in amputations and serious complications . Available dressings on market are not personalized to the specific foot ulcer. Therefore, innovate treatments that accelerate the chronic wounds healing is imperative. Pectin and Biocellulose exhibit a wide range of functional and biological properties and enjoy a very good public image as natural products for wound healing. The aim of the project is to develop bioinks able to be used by 3D bioprinting technologies to create personalized dressing scaffolds for ulcerated diabetic foot treatment.
