In the present protocol, a methodology for air quality monitoring is described in order to evaluate the photocaltaytic effect of pavement stones containing titanium dioxide over the NOx reduction in the Castorweg street in Hengelo city. This project is executed in the years 2008 and 2009, with financial support from the Province of Overijssel (The Netherlands), and is jointly executed by the University of Twente, Eindhoven University of Technology, Hengelo  Municipality and Struyk Verwo Infra.
